The Club which is primarily a sporting club has the distinction of having 26 grass courts, 4 clay and 3 synthetic courts which are flood lit. The grass courts have been in existence since 1940. The club has an active tennis membership of over 200 and also runs a training academy for juniors. The club has had the proud privilege of holding several national and international championships which include the Grand Prix tennis tournament held during 1973 and Davis cup matches during 1961,1970 and 1978. Only members and their guests are permitted to play on the Club courts. Not more than 1 x local guest will be introduced during the month and outstation guests not more than 4 x times a month. No guests are allowed for tennis on Saturdays, Sundays , during monsoon when the play is confined to hard courts. A maximum of 2 x guests per member are allowed for tennis during non monsoon season
The Grass courts are closed on Mondays during non monsoon season. The dress for ladies is white salwar kameez, skirt with Tshirt with collar and white canvass shoes and for gents white shorts and white T-Shirts. For all queries relating to reservation of courts please contact the reception
